I had an excellent experience at the KFC located at 11406 Forest Ave in Clive, Iowa, and it truly deserves high praise. From the moment I arrived, the restaurant stood out for being clean, well-lit, and easy to access, with plenty of parking available. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff who were upbeat, patient, and genuinely happy to help. The ordering process was fast and efficient, even during a busy period, and I never felt rushed.
The food was exactly what you hope for when you go to KFC—fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. The Original Recipe chicken was perfectly cooked with that signature crispy coating and juicy, flavorful meat inside. Every piece tasted fresh out of the fryer, not greasy or overdone. The mashed potatoes and gravy were smooth, rich, and comforting, while the biscuits were warm, fluffy, and buttery. The coleslaw was fresh and crisp, adding a nice balance to the meal. Everything came out quickly and at the perfect temperature.
What really stood out about this Clive location was the attention to detail. My order was 100% accurate, neatly packed, and portions were generous. The dining area was spotless, tables were quickly wiped down, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. You can tell the team here takes pride in maintaining a clean, well-run restaurant.
Whether you’re stopping by for a quick lunch, picking up dinner for the family, or just craving classic fried chicken, the KFC on Forest Ave in Clive is a fantastic choice. Great food, excellent service, and a clean, comfortable environment make this location a standout. Most KFCs have great employees and customer service. The food is decent and is usually cooked correctly. I have been to some that needed help especially on cleanliness

I usually order the 12 pieces of chicken meal (in a bucket) for my family. Then two or three sides are included, as are some biscuits. We love those biscuits! So, since I do not eat chicken, I order more sides. Usually, I get more Mashed potatoes, green beans, and cole slaw and add six more biscuits. Then send my son to pick it up and pay for it if I have not paid through the app.
When my son is home with the food, everything is still very warm! As usual, the food is excellent! My son said the employees who interacted with him were all courtesy and seemed ready to get busy and work. Even though they were working and had many customers. My order was correct, my extras were as ordered -- including the extra napkins! I would and do recommend this restaurant and their delicious food to everyone that I come in contact with. Also my family and I will be going back to this restaurant for their food when we want a very delicious chicken meal-- without us cooking it!

Overall dining experience here was ok. The chicken was fried golden brown but the biscuits were hard as a rock. Overall I enjoyed myself

The food was good, aside from being slightly cooler than it should have been. The employees were friendly but obnoxiously loud as they were goofing around between customers. No big issues though.

I've eaten at Kentucky Fried Chicken, most of my life, and the most important thing I noticed was the texture of the chicken, and the melt in your mouth taste. Their is no comparison with their chicken, and others!

KFC has good food. Its made of good quality, not too greasy, or not too dry. Good selection of side items. Family oriented and usually quick service
